Hi, I’m Erica

Erica Everywhere’s goal is to help guide young women (and men) like myself through their travels AND through their blogging journey(while attempting to stay in budget). Yes, travel is amazing and fun but it is also incredibly expensive and I refuse to ignore that fact. You can expect to see blogs focused around my recent big trip to Europe on my not-so-big budget. I will also be including any domestic travels and blogging guidance I can provide to new and experienced bloggers alike. Anything from full-length guides and itineraries, to the best ways to create your blog, and everything in between.

How I was able to explore Europe for the summer…

I got really lucky the summer after graduating from college in 2019. That summer, I got to travel around Europe for 7 weeks exploring, eating, and most importantly, taking lots of photos. I did not pay for my trip through some awesome online business (I wish) or my blog (I’ll get there), or by saving up through college (your girl can’t hold a dollar to save her life). I was awarded scholarship money specifically for international travel. This scholarship was for students who couldn’t quite afford a semester abroad (Me) but had the natural curiosity of a traveler (also me). By the grace of God, and a long application, I got said scholarship, and now I get to share my adventures with you.

This scholarship was not extensive by any means considering the amount of travel I did but it was just enough for what I needed (not enough for “luxury” travel, but I could take care of myself for the most part). This allowed me to teach myself how to budget while traveling; when and where to splurge, how to eat economically, and much more you will read about in my posts to come.

Did you travel alone?

NO! I was very lucky to have a friend willing to tag along with me on my trip; Andrea. Without her, I would’ve been an absolute mess. Navigating so many countries and being away from home for close to two months was inimaginable by myself. Andrea was my roommate at the time and is also one of my best friends so when she invited herself (LOL) it was a no-brainer! Andrea also took all of the photos that have me featured in them, this blog would be nothing without her expert photography.

About me

I’m a 22-year-old ice cream (and gelato) enthusiast, avid Instagram-scroller and recent college graduate. I was born in the South; North Carolina to be exact. In May 2019 I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. I enjoy traveling (of course), finding deals on cute clothes, and the occasional youtube tutorial.
